One of the reasons why I want to go to South Korea is because I want to visit a specific cafe in Hongdae called Hello Kitty Cafe. (Some blogs here, here and here.) Every area in the cafe is so picture-worthy and just overly cute! But buying a coffee at a cafe and acquiring a South Korean Visa are two different things! So, when one of my colleagues told me about a Hello Kitty themed spa in Marikina, I immediately force-asked my friends to come with me! ^^
Here's my Hello Kitty Spa experience with my friends! :) Enjoy!
Location : Momsie Kitty Spa and Slimming Salon is located in Sapphire Street, SSS Village, Concepcion 2, Marikina City.
How to get there : Commuting is the easier way to get there. My friends and I took a van/fx in front of Gateway Mall in Cubao. Hail a van that says SSS. Ask the driver to drop you off at Lilac. The fare should be Php30, travel time around 20-30 minutes. From Lilac, get a tricycle and tell the driver that you want to go to Sapphire Street. Just tell him you want to go to Momsie Kitty Spa or the Hello Kitty Spa! :)

I wanted to avail the eyelash perming service but I spent a lot of time doing my brows, lashes and liner that morning and I didn't bring my touch-up kit so I opted for another service... FOOT SPA/SCRUB!
It doesn't look like it in the photo but the employees were all polite and warm. The most important factor for me when going to a salon,restaurant or any other establishment.
I guess it's because they just opened a month ago so the employees must still be excited to meet their customers, build rapport and eventually gain some loyal customers... But whatever the reason is, I'm just glad they're all nice! :)

Everything is Hello Kitty! They served us cold water in Hello Kitty mugs placed on a Hello Kitty Tray in front of the Hello Kitty pillows on the Hello Kitty couch! Having headache already? lol

The blue room is Daniel's room. If you're a female who plans to drag your boyfriend/husband to the salon, you could talk him to getting a service, too. He doesn't have to worry, tell him. He'd be safe and sane in a blue room! ^_^

It was getting late and my friends and I still had to be somewhere else so we took more photos before we left. We could stay there forever, though, if possible!
I've seen a lot of Hello Kitty collections and Hello Kitty themed bedrooms on the internet and on TV. The closest experience I had was entering a Sanrio store. Though not quite since all the stuff there are sealed in plastic so you won't really get to feel Kitty's soft fur! Now, I've finally been around hundreds of Hello Kitties!
My friends and I felt like kids again and forgot all the stress and pressure of life. We were so happy when we got out of the salon. So glad we pushed through the plan. It would have been such a shame if we didn't go!
I know you want to go there, too! I heard a local TV show is featuring them soon so that means Hello Kitty fans are going to flock the salon! Hurry before the place becomes so famous that you won't even have a place to sit!
